Mt. Pleasant?s Moreira competes in Disney World
ORLANDO, Fla. ? Gabriela Moreira and her all-star cheerleading team, Iowa Elite Cheer out of Cedar Rapids, competed in the UCA International Championships at Disney World in Orlando, Fla., on March 10-11.

ORLANDO, Fla. ? Gabriela Moreira and her all-star cheerleading team, Iowa Elite Cheer out of Cedar Rapids, competed in the UCA International Championships at Disney World in Orlando, Fla., on March 10-11.
Iowa Elite Cheer took three teams to this competition: Senior Level 2, Senior Level 3 and Senior Level 4. Moreira, who is a junior at Mt. Pleasant Community High School, is on the Level 4 team. That team won the International Championship. This is the second year in a row the girls have won the championship; last year, they did it as a Senior Level 3 team. The other two teams also did very well: the Senior Level 2 team placed fifth in the nation and the Senior Level 3 team took home the third place trophy and medals.
