Along with Allen turning in season bests, Josh Francis had a season best time of 24.47 seconds in the 200 meter, along with Shawn Schneckloth shaving 18 seconds off his season best time in the 1600 meter, cutting his time to 5:07.
"We had a lot of kids turn in either season bests or personal bests, but it didn't always translate to points. This was probably one of the most competitive meets we'll be in this year and I thought our kids held their own against a lot of great local teams," said coach Shane Barron. "We still haven't been able to put a full lineup together, but that should happen in the near future. When that happens, more kids will develop and contribute and veterans can afford to have some more rest in between races."
New London competes again on Monday, April 11, at Lone Tree, starting at 5 p.m.
