New London duo sign for college volleyball
Burden to Carl Sandburg, Nye to John Wood

NEW LONDON — A pair of New London Tiger volleyball players signed to play at the next level on Wednesday. Natalie Burden and Emma Nye had a joint signing to sign their letters of intent.
Burden will be attending Carl Sandburg College next season. Nye will play at John Wood Community College.
Burden, a hitter, led New London with 448 kills last season. She also tallied 323 digs for a team that went to a deciding fifth set in the regional championship game.
Burden will join a Carl Sandburg team that went 25-18 overall this season, but also went a perfect 8-0 in the Arrowhead Athletic Conference.
Nye, a defensive specialist, had a ridiculous 667 digs for the Panthers this season. She was also second in service aces, with 65.
Nye will be joining a John Wood squad that went 11-19 last season, and 1-3 in conference play.
