New London football falls to district leader
LISBON ? The New London football offense was shut down by Lisbon, but the Tigers couldn?t slow down the Lions in Friday?s district matchup. Lisbon maintained its spotless district record with a 69-0 victory over New London.
Quincy Porter led New London with 42 rushing yards on the night and Tyler Shinkle picked up 32 yards. Matayo Christianer gained seven.

LISBON ? The New London football offense was shut down by Lisbon, but the Tigers couldn?t slow down the Lions in Friday?s district matchup. Lisbon maintained its spotless district record with a 69-0 victory over New London.
Quincy Porter led New London with 42 rushing yards on the night and Tyler Shinkle picked up 32 yards. Matayo Christianer gained seven.
Tristan Kadel was 2-of-14 passing for 10 yards. Christianer had a 9-yard reception and Shinkle caught a 1-yard pass.
Christianer led the team with 13 tackles, while Kyle Oliver and Tyler Stevenson had eight tackles each. Oliver had the team?s only tackle for loss and also recovered a fumble in the game.
New London is now 2-5 overall and 1-4 in district play. The Tigers host WACO this week. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
