New London girls fall at Central Lee

CENTRAL LEE - The New London girls basketball team had a tough time containing a powerful Central Lee squad in the second half of Tuesday's game. The Tigers scored in double digits in all four quarters, but Central Lee put up 43 points in the second half to run away with a 72-46 win.
The Tigers stuck with Central Lee in the first half. The Hawks led 15-10 after one period and 29-21 at halftime.
Central Lee stretched their advantage to double-digits in the third quarter, leading 45-32 going into the final period. The Hawks poured it on in the fourth, scoring 27 points in the last eight minutes.
Marah Hartrick was red hot from the field, scoring 22 points on 8-15 shooting and 5-9 from three point land. Ashlyn McSorley and Kara Krieger scored eigh tpoints apiece. Layney Loyd finished the night with four points, 14 rebounds and four assists, and Addie Prty had four points of her own.
