New London golf sweeps Louisa-Muscatine

NEW LONDON - The New London golf teams took care of business on Monday in a Southeast Iowa Super Conference home dual against Louisa-Muscatine.

The boys team finished the day at 187, besting a Louisa-Muscatine team that didn’t have enough golfers to score. The Tiger girls won 216-277.

Clayton Phillips won medalist honors for the Tiger boys with a 36. Mason Shelledy finished at 44. Wyatt Miller and Dustin Nehring shot 51 and 56 respectively to round out the scorers, and Weston Miller ended his day at 68.

The New London girls were led by a Phillips. Taylor Phillips shot a 44 to cruise to medalist honors.

Hannah Ortberg shot a 54. Sophie Mallot finished at 55. Sage Barron shot a 63. Emma Nye finished at 64, and Dori Rice shot a 67.
