NEW LONDON — To say Monday night’s Class 1A Region 8 volleyball match was all New London would be an understatement.
The 13th-ranked Tigers let up just 16 points all night long in a three-game sweep of Moravia. The Tigers won 25-5, 25-6, 25-5 to start the postseason off right.
Natalie Burden and Tysann Gipple each hit double-digit kills. Burden finished with 11 and Gipple tallied 10. Sophie Malott ended the day with seven.
Elly Manning led the Tigers with 16 assists in the victory. Aliyah Christensen finished the day with 15.
Emma Nye led the New London back row with 15 digs. She also had four service aces. Christensen, Burden and Morgan Jones each finished with three aces, and Manning and Malott had two each.
New London (25-13) will press on against WACO on Wednesday night.
