New London wrestling downed by Don Bosco

The New London wrestling team was defeated in a matchup against Don Bosco on Tuesday, 60-17.
New London lost a multitude of points from forfeits. The Tigers gave Don Bosco 42 points off forfeits alone, at 106, 138, 145, 160, 170, 220 and 285.
While the Tigers didn’t get the victory as a team, a few still showed out.
Dominic Lopez continues to dominate the 152 weight class, picking up another win by tech fall, 25-10, over Don Bosco’s Dawson Youngblut. Trent Wilkerson picked up a dominating win over Emerson Hahn, winning by fall in one minute and nine seconds. Lopez and Wilkerson were the only two to wrestle for wins. No. 1 rated Marcel Lopez, 126, was the only other Tiger to get points, but won by forfeit.
At 182, Josh Glendening lost by decision, 5-3, to Cade Tenold. Gage Burden, 113, fell to Don Bosco’s Cole Frost by decision, 7-4. Gavin Bailey-Menke was pinned by Andrew Kimball at 120 and Corbin Jacobs-Jewell was pinned by Kyler Knaack at 132.
