New rankings: Pekin, SK receive votes

The new Iowa prep football rankings from the Cedar Rapids Gazette have been released, and although no Union area teams are in the Top-10, both Pekin and Sigourney-Keota finished one spot out.

Despite a big win over Columbus, Pekin fell out of the Class A Top-10. The Panthers are just a few spots off the Top-10, heading into their big road trip to No. 5 Lisbon on Friday night.

Sigourney-Keota followed a comeback win over Mid-Prairie with a big win over Mediapolis, and the Cobras are back in the Class 1A “others receiving votes” list.
