Ninth-grade boys top Chariton
The Fairfield freshman boys? basketball team won its fourth game of the season Tuesday, rolling past Chariton by the final score of 50-23.
Alex Simpson led the Trojans with 19 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Logan Fleeman scored 13 points, Cody Craff had four points and six boards, and Austin Corrick and Adam Parcell also scored four each. Nick Jackson dished out five assists and swiped four steals.

The freshmen sit at 4-12 overall and conclude the season with a home game Friday vs. Fort Madison.
