NL boys swept in weekend games
NEW LONDON ? Despite scoring 43 points, the New London Tigers dropped their Saturday game to Wapello. The final score was 59-43.
It was the Tigers? second loss of the weekend. They were on the low end of Friday night?s final, 52-23, against Central Lee.
The Tigers managed only two points in the first quarter and five in the fourth against the Hawks on Friday.

It was the Tigers? second loss of the weekend. They were on the low end of Friday night?s final, 52-23, against Central Lee.
The Tigers managed only two points in the first quarter and five in the fourth against the Hawks on Friday.
Matayo Christianer and Cameron Watson put up seven points each, tying for the team-high.
As a team, the Tigers shot only 21 percent from the floor. They grabbed 21 rebounds and had six steals, but committed 30 turnovers.
Christianer topped the team with eight rebounds.
On Saturday, the Tigers were more successful in finding the basket.
They were held to only six points in the first quarter, but put up 14 in both the second and fourth quarters. They shot 31 percent from the field as a team.
Christianer had 14 points and Watson joined him in double figures with 10 points. Christianer got the double-double with 11 rebounds.
As a team, the Tigers pulled down 27 rebounds and gave up 21 turnovers to the Indians, nine fewer than they allowed on Firday night.
New London is now 1-9 on the season.
The Tigers will take the court again tomorrow (Tuesday) when they travel to Harmony.
