Top-ranked (Class 1A) Danville held Maharishi School to one point in the first quarter Friday, turning a 62-4 halftime lead into a 94-20 victory in Fairfield.
The Pioneers did much better against Danville?s suffocating defense in the third quarter, where they dropped in 14 points. They only attempted 21 shots in the game, though they were 5 of 9 from 3-point range.

Maharishi School?s Suraj Pullapantula and Alex Hoffman scored six points apiece, all on 3-point shots. Bimba Shrestha scored five, and Avery Mullenneaux tacked on two points.
The 2-5 Pioneers will look to bounce back Tuesday with a trip to New London.
