The 2024 women’s Final Four is set after a highly touted Elite Eight.
A pair of No. 1 seeds and two No. 3 seeds is all that remains.
No. 1 Iowa, No. 3 UConn, No. 1 South Carolina and No. 3 NC State will battled it out on Friday for a spot in the National Championship.
The top seeded Hawkeyes are back in the Final Four for the second straight year. Iowa got some National Championship revenge on No. 3 LSU in the Elite Eight 94-87. A 41 point, 12 assist night from 2023 National Player of the Year Caitlin Clark propelled the Hawkeyes past the defending champs for the Albany 2 title.
Iowa now looks ahead to No. 3 seeded UConn. The Huskies are one game from the championship for a record 23rd time. Lead by All-American guard Paige Bueckers, UConn eliminated No. 1 seed USC 80-73 to take the Portland 3 Region.
On the other side of the bracket, No. 1 South Carolina will take on No. 3 seed NC State.
South Carolina, who has yet to be beaten this season, is looking for some redemption after bowing out in the semifinals last season. Besides a four point win over Indiana in the Sweet 16, the Albany 1 champions’ closest game was their 12 point win over No. 3 Oregon State in the Elite Eight.
NC State has had quite the run thus far. The Wolfpack went through the likes of No. 6 Tennessee, No. 2 Stanford and finally No. 1 Texas to get into the Final Four. NC State upended the Longhorns 76-66, closing out the Portland 4 region.
The Final Four schedule is as follows.
No. 1 South Carolina vs. No. 3 NC State (6 p.m.)
No. 1 Iowa vs. No. 3 UConn (8 p.m.)
