FORT MADISON ? Fort Madison entered Monday?s doubleheader vs. Fairfield securely in the driver?s seat for the Southeast Conference title, and Morgan Louck made sure her team didn?t budge.
Louck?s no-hitter highlighted a 10-0 victory in the opener, and the senior allowed just four Trojan hits in the nightcap to pace her team to a 7-1 victory and a season sweep of Fairfield. The 12th-ranked Bloodhounds are 10-2 in conference play while Fairfield drops to 2-10.
Allison Delker?s RBI double in game two was the lone high point of the evening for Fairfield against Louck. Delker?s rip plated the night?s lone run, but five unearned runs on the Fort Madison side of the scoreboard kept things out of reach. Katie Anderson and Rachel Schwarz also picked up hits in the game.
Fairfield will now get set for another tough conference match up Thursday night against fourth-ranked Keokuk.
