No. 15 Mid-Prairie drops third

The Mid-Prairie High School girls basketball team lost its third consecutive game after winning six in a row to start the season.
Wilton 61, No. 15 Mid-Prairie 24
The River Valley Conference game at Wilton got away from the visitors in the third quarter when they did not score a point and the Beavers scored 19. It was 15-8 for Wilton after one quarter and 22-14 at halftime.
Maddie Nonnenmann led Mid-Prairie in scoring with eight points. Shae Becker led in rebounds with six. Kessa Jones led in assists with three. Ella Cadena had a team-high two steals.
Mid-Prairie is 6-3 overall, 5-3 in the loop. Wilton is 8-1, 7-1.
The Golden Hawks host Northeast Goose Lake Friday.
No. 3 Montezuma 53, Keota 13
The Eagles lost on the road to their Class 1A ranked South Iowa Cedar League foe.
The Eagles did not score in either the second or the fourth quarters.
Shateah Wetering led Montezuma (9-1) with 20 points.
Keota is 3-8 overall and 2-4 in the league and hosts North Mahaska tonight.
