No. 2 Mediapolis spoils Mid-Prairie's Homecoming

No. 2 Mediapolis blew out Mid-Prairie 41-0 on Friday night to spoil the Golden Hawks? Homecoming.

Senior Jesse Ertz was 18-for-27 passing for 220 yards and four touchdowns for the Bulldogs (7-0, 4-0 Class 2A District 5), and he also returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown. Senior Jordan Wagenbach caught seven passes for 92 yards and two touchdowns, and senior Chase Miller made six receptions for 54 yards and two scores.

The Golden Hawks (5-2, 3-1 District 5), which saw their five-game winning streak come to an end, were limited to just 147 total yards. Junior Eesaa Baylor, who had been averaging over 100 yards per game on the ground, was held to just 12 yards on eight carries. Junior Reid Miller completed 10 of his 20 passes for 94 yards, but was intercepted three times.
