No. 3 Regals roll Highland

IOWA CITY - It was a tough night Friday for the Highland football team against No. 3 Iowa City Regina. The Regals won the Class A District 6 home game 56-19.
'Regina is really good,” Highland coach Scott Morel said. 'They are discipline and well coached.”
Sporting a balanced attack with 257 yards rushing and 256 passing, Regina built an early lead behind Ashton Cook's 11-of-11 passing and two touchdowns.
Highland had 191 yards of offense, all on the ground. Owen Donovan piled up 152 yards on 18 carries. He scored two touchdowns, one from 59 yards out.
Brenton Bonebrake snagged an interception and returned for a touchdown for the Huskies other score. Donovan led the Huskies defense with eight tackles and Luke Miller had four.
Highland is 1-5 overall and 1-4 in the district. Regina is 6-1, 5-0 and has a bye in the first round of the postseason.
'The positives for us are we do have playoffs and the team continued to compete,” Morel said.
Highland will play at Alburnett (4-2).
