No. 6 Fairfield hosts Solon in season finale
The FHS varsity baseball team will wrap up their 2019 regular season with a home contest tonight versus Class 3A multi-sport rival Solon.
The Trojans are 23-4 and have won six in a row over five different schools with the cherry-on-top being the 17-3 schlacking of Class 2A's No. 1 ranked Wilton Beavers last Thursday night on the road.
The Trojans impressive resume has left them ranked No. 6 in the final Class 3A rankings by the IHSBCA and the team will start their run at a state tournament berth Friday at home versus Fort Madison.
First pitch tonight is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. against the unranked 20-16 Spartans.
The Trojan baseball team is 23-4, ranked No. 6 in Class 3A and will host unranked Solon tonight in their regular season finale. First pitch is set for 7:30 p.m. at the middle school fields.
