No. 7 New London unbeaten no more
Tigers fall on the road at English Valleys

NORTH ENGLISH — No. 7 (8-Player) New London took its first loss on the gridiron on Friday night. The previously unbeaten Tigers were upended by district rival English Valleys, falling 39-34.
The game was tied 7-7 after one quarter. New London held 20-14 lead at halftime, but English Valleys scored twice in the third to take a 27-20 advantage into the final period.
Boden Pickle carried the ball for 81 rushing yards and one touchdown in the loss. Blaise Porter ran for 73 yards and a score.
New London quarterbacks Dom Lopez and Ethan Streeter each through for one touchdown and two interceptions. Pickle and Bowen Glaha each had a touchdown reception.
New London’s defense came away with one take-away, a pick by Porter.
The Tigers are now 2-1 on the year, and they’ve got a big game next week. New London hosts undefeated WACO in a Henry County showdown.
