No. 8 West Branch wins at Mid-Prairie
Eighth-ranked West Branch avenged its only loss of the season by defeating Mid-Prairie 43-31 inside Tim Grady Gymnasium on Friday night.

The Bears (12-1, 7-1 Cedar Valley Conference), who had lost to Mid-Prairie 57-49 in West Branch on Dec. 4, jumped out to a 12-6 lead at the end of one quarter of play, and they extended their lead to 11 points heading into the fourth quarter.
Senior Rylan Murry scored a game-high 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead West Branch, and senior Cody Brandt added 12 points and eight rebounds.
Junior Dayton Hall scored nine points to lead the Golden Hawks (6-5, 3-5 CVC), who fell to 1-4 in the month of January.
