BURLINGTON ? The Fairfield boys? tennis team ended up on the wrong end of a 7-2 score Tuesday at Burlington-Notre Dame, but a bright spot remained at No. 1 singles where Justin Bradfield tacked on another win ? this time with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Chris Kirk.
Nathan Hurley also picked up a singles win for Fairfield at No. 4 with a 6-2, 3-6 (10-6) victory. The duo of Bradfield and Hurley has come together for victories

BURLINGTON ? The Fairfield boys? tennis team ended up on the wrong end of a 7-2 score Tuesday at Burlington-Notre Dame, but a bright spot remained at No. 1 singles where Justin Bradfield tacked on another win ? this time with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Chris Kirk.
Nathan Hurley also picked up a singles win for Fairfield at No. 4 with a 6-2, 3-6 (10-6) victory. The duo of Bradfield and Hurley has come together for victories several times already this year, but couldn?t quite get it done against the Notre Dame team of Kirk and Mitsuhiro Nagamatsu. Notre Dame escaped with a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles.
In other singles action, Kyle Brewington lost 6-2, 6-4 to Nagamatsu, Ryan Brewington was defeated 6-1, 7-5, Alan Chen was downed 6-2, 6-1 and Will Gaub suffered a 6-0, 6-2 loss.
George Winland (8-5), Keagan Richmond (8-1), Kyle Greiner (8-3), Kevin Thorn (8-0) and Davis Thorn (8-5) all picked up wins in JV play. Greiner and Landon Stewart won a doubles match 7-6 (8-6).
Next up for Fairfield is a conference match against Keokuk on Thursday.
