Oakland Mills holds disc golf tournament
A disc golf tournament was part of the Oakland Mills? family day on Saturday.

The doubles best-shot tournament had 46 participants (23 teams), divided into three flights that were based on scores.

A disc golf tournament was part of the Oakland Mills? family day on Saturday.
At left, Steve Thirtyacre of New London ? who, along with Mt. Pleasant?s Ray Vens, organized the tournament ? prepares to make his first throw at the first hole.
The doubles best-shot tournament had 46 participants (23 teams), divided into three flights that were based on scores.
Shane Gerhardt and Tommy Buckallew won the A Division of the tournament; Dan McAllister and Justin McDonald were the B Division winners; and Dallas Pendell and Marcus Donnnolly won the C Division.
Each of the division winners went home with a cash prize.
Other events at Oakland Mills over the weekend included children?s target shooting, a fishing contest and a barbeque contest.
