Yani Gutierrez-Larios led IMS with 19 points on 5 of 7 shooting from beyond the 3-point line. She also pulled down seven rebounds.
Suzanna Yoder chipped in 15 points, six assists, two steals and eight rebounds.
The score was tied at 14 after one quarter, but the home team led 32-20 at halftime and 44-25 after three quarters.
'Yani has been playing well lately and it was great to see her have such a strong game,” IMS coach Kari Heusinkveld said.
It was the first game this year for IMS that Yoder was not the leading scorer. Yoder is second in the state, regardless of class, at 26.3 points a game.
'It's important for us to continue to have other girls step up and be consistent with scoring surrounding Suzanna,' Heusinkveld said. 'Yani is one that can do that as well as Mia Graber and Rubye Ney. We've had some games this season where we've shown nice balance. It's something we'll need as we head into the postseason.”
