WELLMAN — Mid-Prairie’s Landry Pacha is going Dutch for her collegiate volleyball career.
The Golden Hawks’ senior signed her letter of intent to attend and play volleyball at Central College last week in the Mid-Prairie High School library.

Pacha simply did it all for the Golden Hawks in her senior season. She not only led the team with 264 kills on the year, but also dished out a team-leading 407 assists to secure the rare feat of leading her team in both categories.
Pacha finished the year with 254 digs, third best on the team, and also tallied 28 blocks. She was the squad’s most efficient server, at a 94.2 percent efficiency and 47 aces.
Under the leadership of Pacha and the rest of the senior class, the Mid-Prairie volleyball team had a banner year. The Golden Hawks went 27-12 over the season, finished conference play with a 7-2 River Valley South record, and advanced all the way to the Class 3A Region 8 championship game before falling to eventual state champion Davenport Assumption.
Mid-Prairie turned what was a six-win team in 2019 into an area power in the past four years. In Pacha’s junior and senior year combined, the Golden Hawks won 43 contests, which was more than the previous five seasons combined.
Pacha will join a Central College team that went 10-15 this season. The Dutch did struggle in the tough American Rivers Conference, going 1-7.
