Rich Garrels brought the Christmas cheer, and festive threads, as he worked the gate at the Festival of Lights during a very merry Dec. 23. Garrels was helping out with his fellow Noon Rotary members.

MPCHS's Culinary Arts Department held a holiday appetizer sampler on Thursday, Dec. 21, during the basketball game. The event was an effort to raise money for the department so students can travel around Iowa with their teacher, Marjorie Beckman, and learn about the culinary treasures the state has to offer.
