Girls from troops 9565, 9227 and 1086 were given the opportunity to chose a Hometown Hero for cookie donations to go to. Our troops decided to deliver cookies to fire departments in Mt. Pleasant, New London, Winfield, Mt. Union, and Salem as well as Morning Sun and Danville.

Get out of the way, Peter Cottontail. Hundreds of kids flocked to Central Park on Saturday for the city?s annual Easter Egg Hunt. Women of the Mt. Pleasant First Presbyterian Church hosted their rummage and bake sale Friday and Saturday at the church. Items for sale included clothes, books and knick knacks, etc. A bake sale also accompanied the rummage sale. The event raised about $1,200, which will be used for various causes and charities. Clothes remaining from the sale were given to the Quarter Maybe More Store.

Pleasant, the Mommy Market was made up of over 35 individual booths of new and gently used clothing, toys, books, bedding, baby equipment and maternity wear. All the proceeds from booth fees will be donated to the Help to Others organization.
