Panther bowling downed by Chiefs
Mt. Pleasant boys and girls come up short against Keokuk

KEOKUK — Mt. Pleasant boys’ and girls’ bowling headed south on Tuesday to face off with the Chiefs of Keokuk.
For the Panthers, it was a tough day on lanes as they were defeated on both sides. The boys fell to Keokuk 2,642-2,281 and the girls, 2,755-2,310.
For the Panther boys, Jonathan Fortin was the highest placer, ending in 3rd with 352 pins.
Joseph Rheinschmidt followed in 4th with 344. Christian Bracht-Wagner was 7th with 310 pins. Henry Pforts took 9th with 264 pins. Alec Payne took 10th with 260 total pins and Kyle Benacka finished 12th with 247 pins.
For the girls, Bethany Drury was a second-place finisher with 391 total pins.
Addison McGehearty finished 7th with 336 pins. Cayla Burns followed in 8th with 300 pins. Tor Hixson had 281 for 10th. Kya Goodrich finished with 262 pins for 11th and Natalie Brush bowled a total of 223 pins for 12th.
With the losses, the Panther girls move to 5-3, while the boys drop to 1-7 on the season.
