BURLINGTON — Despite a much-improved outside shooting performance from the last time it played in Burlington, the Mt. Pleasant boys basketball team couldn’t grasp the first win of the season when the Panthers visited Notre Dame on Tuesday night.
The Nikes toppled the Panthers 73-52, handing Mt. Pleasant a defeat in non-conference action.
Junior Aiden Humble, who scored just one point against Burlington on Friday, found his groove again, hitting five 3-pointers en route to a 19-point performance in the loss. Isaiah Lange added 14 of his own.
The Panthers couldn’t slow down Notre Dame star Shay Stephens, who put up a game-high 30 points.
Mt. Pleasant (0-3, 0-1) will look for its first conference win on Friday night against Ft. Madison (0-3, 0-1).
