Panther boys roll at Notre Dame

BURLINGTON - The Mt. Pleasant boys' tennis team nearly swept the Notre Dame Nikes in Burlington on Tuesday. The Panthers rocked the Nikes 8-1 to move to 6-1 this season.
Mt. Pleasant wrapped the win up in singles play, winning five of six. Mt. Pleasant won five of the six singles matches to clinch the win early.
Jaxon Hoyle took the No. 2 singles match 8-4 over Cole Williams. Donny Arledge won the No. 3 match 8-1 against Tyler Dameron. David Nguyen won the No. 4 match 8-4 against Kaleb Allen.
Jack Schimmelpfennig rolled in the No. 5 match 8-1. Clayton Henriksen had a sweep in the No. 6 match, taking out Eric Dailey 8-0. Corbin Broeker fell in the No. 1 match, 8-1.
Broeker and Hoyle took the No. 1 doubles match, winning 8-5 against Willis and Allen. Arledge and Schimmelpfennig won 8-4 in the No. 2 match against Williams and Dameron. Nguyen and Henriksen rolled in the No. 3 match 8-1.
The Panther boys will be in Ft. Madison on Friday, April 26, for a Southeast Conference match.
