Panther boys split road games

The Mt. Pleasant boys basketball team went 1-1 over the weekend, playing two road games in two days. On Friday, the Panthers topped Ft. Madison 47-39 to start up conference play on a good note. On Saturday, the Panthers fellto Pleasant Valley, 45-27.
After splitting the first quarter 9-9, the Panther boys trailed 19-17 at halftime on Friday. The Panthers outscored the Bloodhounds 17-13 in the thrid quarter and 13-7 in the fourth to run away with the win.
Keegan Kohorst had another nice night, scoring 17 points on 6-8 shooting. Brevin Wilson scored eight points. Konnor Peterson had seven.
Jaxon Hoyle scoed six points and dished out three assists. Clayton Lowery had five points. Brody Bender finishied with four points, seven rebounds and seven steals.
On Saturday, the Panthers trailed 13-4 after one quarter, 21-10 at halftime and 35-18 after three quarters, eventually falling by 18 points.
Kohorst led the team again, this time scoring 12 points on 5-7 shooting. Wilson scored seven points. Hoyle scored five. Peterson scored two, and Dewon Trent had one. Bender led the team with four rebounds.
Mt. Pleasant is now 1-2 overall and 1-0 in the Southeast Conference. They'll host West Burlington on Tuesday, Dec. 10.
