Panther freshman boys beat Ft. Madison

FT. MADISON - The Mt. Pleasant freshman boys picked up a Southeast Conference road win on Friday night, helped out by a couple of big individual performances. The Panthers knocked off Ft. Madison 63-55.
Mt. Pleasant had to stage a comeback after trailing by two points at halftime. Ft. Madison held a 28-26 advantage at the break, but the Panthers won the second half 37-27.
Dewon Trent and Sam Jerrel put up big numbers in the win. Trent scored 28 points to lead the team. Trent scored 20.
Dylon Hagans had eight points in the win. Dalton Church scored three points, and both Colton Hutson and Josh Mueller had two.
Mt. Pleasant was supposed to play Iowa City Regina on Tuesday, but the game was postponed. The freshman Panthers are now 5-4.
