Panther girls, Demon boys win Brookhart-Crew Relays

FAIRFIELD — The Washington boys and Mt. Pleasant girls track and field teams saw themselves back on top with a victory at the Brookhart-Crew Relays on Monday.
The Demon boys won with a total score of 147. Mt. Pleasant was second with 120 and Fairfield third at 113.
Mt. Pleasant won the girls title with 183 total points. Fairfield finish third with 89 points and Washington ended in fourth with 60.
For Washington, Elijah Morris won the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.25.
Lance Sobaski broke the Washington school record in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:57.67.
Brayden Hartman was a two-time winner for the Demons, taking both the shot put, 52 feet, 11 inches, and discus, 146 feet, 5 inches.
Winning the 4x100 meter shuttle hurdle for Washington was Tayven Stuart, James Strabala, Mason Morgan and Austin Rebling.
The Panthers tallied four wins.
Mt. Pleasant’s Will Davidson was a three-time winner on the day. Davidson won the 110-meter hurdles in 15.32, the 400-meter hurdles in 56.04 and long jump in 20 feet.
Dylon Hagans, Mason Sloat, Gabe Feldman and Isaiah Albright won the 4x400 by a sliver over Fairfield, 3:39.81.
Fairfield had five total winners on the day.
Aiden Lyons, Connor Lyons, Tallon Bates and River Patterson took the 4x200 for Fairfield with a time of 1:31.52.
Gavin VanVeen, Dallen Rippey, Ben Boatright and Kaidyn Mickels won the 4x800 in 8:35.87.
Connor Lyons, Bates, Aiden Lyons and Patterson were winners in the sprint medley, 1:35.75.
In the distance medley, Aidan Kreuter, Hunter Cecchini, Ousman Saine and Dylan Adam came out on top, 3:55.96.
Saine was also a winner in high jump leaping five feet, eight inches for the top spot.
On the girls side, Mt. Pleasant’s Jadan Brumbaugh shatter her personal best in shot put with a throw of 49 feet, 9 inches.
Josie Gilmore cleared five feet for first in high jump.
Abby Blint was a winner for Mt. Pleasant in the 1500-meter, clocking a time of 5:16.79.
Kenna Lamm won the 100-meter hurdles in 16.35.
Mt. Pleasant was victorious in the distance medley as well. Rellana Van Deuren, Bailey Jalas, Tristian Shull and Abby Blint ran a 4:38.66 for first.
Fairfield had a total of four wins in the invite.
Anna Dunlap took the 200-meter crown in 26.44.
Mallory Lyon grabbed a win for Fairfield in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:11.13.
In the 4x100, Coty Engle, Kelsey Pacha, Kiya Robertson and Dunlap were the fastest with a time of 51.30.
Dunlap, Maya Lane, Lyon and Pacha bested the field in the 4x100 shuttle hurdle, posting a 1:07.53.
Washington’s Kendall Hinrichsen, Abigail Kleese, Lauren Horak and Grace Voss were best in the 4x800. The group ran a 10:37.66 for the top spot.
