Panther girls golf rolls in Muscatine triangular

MUSCATINE - It was a wet and windy day at Geneva County Club in Muscatine on Monday but that didn’t stop the Mt. Pleasant girls golf team from bringing home a victory in the Muskies’ home triangular.
The Panthers shot a 214, 20 points ahead of hosting Muscatine (234). They also defeated Southeast Conference rival Burlington, who shot a 250.
Elli Liechty and Sami Wibben led the Panthers, both shooting 52 on the day. Ryann Davidson and Kylie Walderbach were both just three shots behind their teammates, going for 55 each to round out the Mt. Pleasant scorers.
The Panthers will have a 10-day break before their next meet, an invitational at Oskaloosa on April 22.
