MT. PLEASANT — The Mt. Pleasant girls soccer team still hasn't lost a game in the 2025 season, and the Panthers weren't about to let Keokuk be the team that broke that early-season unbeaten streak.
The Panthers were in full control for all 40 minutes against the Chiefs on Thursday night, winning 8-0 for their fourth win of the season.
Mt. Pleasant put up five goals in the first half and three in the second to vanquish the Chiefs at East Lake Park.
Charice Auwerda was once again electric in the win, scoring four goals to lead the team to victory. Addison Peck and Abby Carthey each scored a goal and dished out two assists. Mattisyn Wenke and Tori Wilson each had a goal and an assist, and Sonya Simon had one assist.
Eli Heaton spent all 80 minutes in goal, and didn't even have to make one save in the victory.
The Panther girls moved to 4-0-1 with the win.
