Panther girls roll in Keokuk triangular

KEOKUK - The Mt. Pleasant girls' golf team cruised in a triangular at Keokuk on Monday. The Panthers finished with a score of 191, defeating Oskaloosa (227) and Keokuk (249).
The Panthers swept medalist and runner-up honors once again. Anni Liechty was the medalist, shooting a 41 to win the meet by six strokes. Michael Wohlleber took second place, shooting 47.
Elli Liechty finished right behind Wohlleber with a 48. Melody Miller scored 55 to become the fourth Panther scorer.
Alex Gerling shot a 58 for fifth on the Mt. Pleasant varsity team. Grace Sheetz shot a 60. Sami Wibben shot her all-time low playing junior varsity, finishing with a score of 52.
Mt. Pleasant will next travel to Oskaloosa, on Thursday, April 18. The Panthers will compete against some of the top 3A and 4A teams in the state.
