Panther girls take 10th at Louisa-Muscatine invite

MUSCATINE - The Mt. Pleasant girls bowling team placed 10th out of 11 teams at the Louisa-Muscatine Invitational on Saturday with a total pinfall of 2,027.. The meet, which was held at Rose Bowl in Muscatine, was won by Camanche, who scored 2,960 points. Southeast Conference rival Keokuk was second, with 2,938.
Freshman Tori Hixson led the Panther bowlers with a 24th overall finish. She scored a 315 to tie for 24th with Keokuk's Karissa Moeller. Eden Svoboda wasn't far behind with a 313, for 26th.
Megan Smith placed 36th overall with a 269 on the day. Addison McGehearty was 43rd, with a 231. Danielle Muhs scored 222, for 44th, and Morelia Elias Sixtos bowled a 204, to finish 46th.
It was the last bowling meet of 2020 for Mt. Pleasant. The Panther boys will be in action on January 2 when they head to Muscatine for the Louisa-Muscatine boys meet.
