Panther girls take home triangular

Tuesday evening marked the beginning of the golf season in Mt. Pleasant with the first home meet of the year for the Panther girls. Mt. Pleasant won a home triangular against two Southeast Conference foes, taking down Keokuk and Fairfield.
Mt. Pleasant finished the day with a 213, beating Keokuk by 50 strokes. Fairfield did not score due to having only three golfers.
Elli Liechty started the year off right, taking medalist honors with a 51. Anni Liechty finished runner up with a 53, and Michal Wohlleber finished at 53 as well, taking third.
Melody Miller finished with a final shot total of 56 for fourth on the Panther team. Grace Sheetz was the top non-scorer with a 58, and Alex Gerling finished at 61.
Ryann Davidson led the junior varsity squad with a 59. Sami Wibben also played for the Panther JV team, finishing with a 68.
The Panther girls' golf team will be back in action again on Thursday, April 3. Mt. Pleasant will play at Keokuk against Fairfield, Washington, Burlington, and Notre Dame.
