Panther girls take second in Centerville

CENTERVILLE - The Mt. Pleasant girls' golf team had a tough matchup on Friday at Centerville, taking on No. 2 Washington and No. 10 Centerville in a triangular. Mt. Pleasant shot 377 for second place, falling to Washington (351) and beating Centerville (289).

Anni and Elli Liechty led the Panther squad, both shooting under 90. Anni was the top Mt. Pleasant player, shooting 86, and Elli finished the day at 89.

Michael Wohlleber was the third Panther on the board, shooting 100. Ryann Davidson was the final Mt. Pleasant scorer, shooting 102.

Melody Miller was just outside of the top four with a 103. Alex Gerling ended the day at 110.

The Panther girls will be in Keokuk for their next meet. They'll head south on Thursday, May 9, when they take on Fairfield and Keokuk in a Southeast Conference triangular.
