FAIRFIELD — Fairfield High School played host to the 2024 Brookhart-Crew Relays on Monday, and all three big schools were in attendance.

On the boys’ side, the Trojans and Demons were second and third. The Fairfield boys scored 115 for second place, and Washington was right behind them with a 107.
The Panther girls racked up eight wins on the day en route to a team victory. Two of those came in the individual sprints as Alex Scott edged teammate Andi Scott to win the 100-meter dash, and did the same to Kynlee White in the 200-meter dash for a double victory.
Mt. Pleasant’s 4X100 team of White, Alex Scott, Bailey Jalas and Andi Scott picked up a victory, as did the 4X200 team of Kiyah Sanders, Kynlee White, Courtney Raub and Andi Scott.
Mt. Pleasant’s sprint medley team of Jalas, White, Alex Scott and Courtney Raub crossed the line first. The Panthers also had a relay win in the shuttle hurdle, as Josie Gilmore, Meadow Carter, Jayden Yoder and Rellana Van Deuren tasted victory.
The Panthers had a couple big wins in the field. Jalas took first in the long jump, and Savannah Slobodnik grabbed first in the discus throw.
The Washington girls had four wins on the day, three of which came in individual events.
Abigail Kleese took first place in the 400-meter dash. Iris Dahl finished out front in the 1500, and Leighton Messinger won the 400-meter hurdles.
The Demon girls’ 4X400 team of Taylor Bartholomew, Kendall Hinrichsen, Addison Miller and Taylor Miksch was also victorious.
On the boys’ side, Washington’s Josh Anderson was a triple winner in the wheelchair events, winning the 100, the 400 and the 800. Greyson Hartman scored some big points by winning the shot put.
The Fairfield girls had two wins on the day. Carley Seeley took first in the 3000-meter run, and Lilly Bergren won the 100-meter hurdles.
