Panther tennis falls to Nikes
Mt. Pleasant girls take just one set from Nikes in matchup

MT. PLEASANT — The Mt. Pleasant girls tennis team still is searching for its first team victory of the season after a loss to Notre Dame on Monday night.
It was a tough contest for the Panthers as they came up short to the Nikes 8-1.
The Panthers one victory came from Bethany Drury in the No. 5 match. Drury downed the Nikes Carli Cline 8-3.
Eliana Situmeang fell in the No. 1 match 8-4 to Elizabeth Hamma.
Mary Kate Peterson and Victoria Smith were topped in the No. 2 and No. 3 matches 8-1. Peterson was defeated by Breck McVey and Smith by Brenna Beggs.
Eva Rounceville was bested as well, 8-2, by Notre Dame’s Emily Stutsman.
In the No. 6 match, Audrey Richmond was defeated by Isabella Callison 8-4.
In the doubles matches, Situmeang and Rounceville were defeated by Beggs and Cline 8-4.
Peterson and Smith were downed by Hamma and Stutsman 8-4 as well.
The No. 3 doubles match ended with Drury and Richmond falling to McVey and Callison 8-4 too.
Mt. Pleasant is take on Maharishi on Tuesday. The Panthers sit at 0-5 after the loss.
