Panthers go 0-4 in Tiffin

TIFFIN - The Mt. Pleasant volleyball team had a rough time trying to scoop up wins at the Clear Creek-Amana touranment over the weekend. The Panthers dropped three-set games to Iowa Valley and South Tama and were swept by the hosting Clippers, as well as West Liberty.
Mt. Pleasant dominated the first set against Iowa Valley, taking a 1-0 lead behind a 21-11 opener. The Panthers dropped the second match 21-19 and the third 15-11 for a heart-breaking three-set loss.
Karsyn Lamm and Elli Liechty co-led the team with five kills. Kenna Lamm and Avery Sutter had four kills apiece. Ralyn Seberg dished out 14 assists and Ashlee Oilar finished the night with 10 digs.
Mt. Pleasant also won the first set against South Tame, taking it 21-19. The Trojans battled back with a 21-10 second-set win and a 15-9 win in the third.
Karsyn and Avery Sutter each had four kills against South Tame. Kenna and Maddie More each had three. Ralyn led the way with seven assists, and Regan Seberg has eight digs.
CCA swept the Panthers 21-14 and 21-10. West Liberty beat the Panthers 21-11 and 21-16. Ralyn had 11 assists total over those two games. Kenna and Karsyn each had five kills total in those two games.
Mt. Pleasant is now 1-7 on the year. They'll host Washington in a Southeast Conference clash on Thursday night.
