Panthers roll Washington, Ft. Madison

WASHINGTON - The Mt. Pleasant boys' golf team continued to flex their muscles against the rest of the Southeast Conference on Friday, winning the Washington triangular. The Panthers shot 161 to win the meet, defeating Washington and Ft. Madison in the process.
Jake Moffett and Bailey Shelledy led the way for Mt. Pleasant. They each shot a 39 to take part in a four-way tie for second. Washington's Brock Sobaski won the meet with a 38.
Brevin Wilson took third on the Panther team, scoring a 41. Trace White and Rhett Zeglen each shot a 42, and Reece Kempker finished the day at 50.
Mt. Pleasant will be right back in Washington on Tuesday, May 7, when they take part in the SEC meet. That tournament will begin at 10 a.m.
