Panthers swept at Muscatine triangular

MUSCATINE - The Mt. Pleasant volleyball team began its 2019 season on Monday night with a triangular in Muscatine. The Panthers fell in two sets to both the hosting Muskies and new Southeast Conference rival Burlington.
Mt. Pleasant had one close set and one double-digit loss in each game.
The Panthers fell 25-10 in the first set against Muscatine. They bounced back in the second set but fell by three, 25-22.
Burlington clipped Mt. Pleasant 25-20 in the first set of their game. The Panthers fumbled the second set 25-11.
Mt. Pleasant starts the season 0-2. They'll play at their next game at the Ottumwa triangular on Thursday, Aug. 29.
