FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield and Mt. Pleasant bowling teams hit the lanes at Flamingo Lanes on Monday, and both schools notched a Southeast Conference win.
The Trojan boys picked up a victory over the Panthers, winning 2,633-2,222. The Panther girls won 2,299-1,712.
The win for the Fairfield boys made it five of the last six over the rival Panthers. Mt. Pleasant had snapped a three-match Trojan winning streak last February after Fairfield had beaten Mt. Pleasant by just one pin in the meeting before.
On the girls’ side, Mt. Pleasant won its fourth-straight matchup in the series.
The Panther girls had a huge performance from Addison McGehearty, who finished the day at 445. Her high game was an incredible 245.
Bethany Drury finished her two games at 312. Shyann Smith finished at 273. Kya Goodrich rolled a 267. Natalie Brush finished at 65, and Madelynn Millard ended at 245.
Mt. Pleasant’s boys’ team was led by Joseph Rheinschmidt, who finished at 314. Henry Pforts rolled a 299. Mason Frueh rolled a 295. Alec Payne finished at 289. Titus Reno rolled a 251, and Conner Sizemore finished at 229.
As of presstime, Fairfield’s scores are not available.
Mt. Pleasant bowls again on Friday, Dec. 15, where they will take on Burlington at Fun City, starting at 5 p.m. Fairfield won’t bowl again until a Jan. 8 trip to Davis County.
