Park and Rec hosting Mini-Sprint Trail Triathlon

The Fairfield Park and Recreation Department will host a Mini-Sprint Trail Triathlon Sept. 10 at Waterworks Park.

Check-in as at 8 a.m. The race will begin at 9 a.m.

The triathlon is comprised of a 250-yard swim, six-mile bike ride and 1.3-mile run. Anyone over the age of 14 may sign up, with those under 18 needing parental consent to participate.

Groups may also register as a relay of up to three people. No more than three people may comprise a relay group.

The cost to compete is $35 per individual and $55 per relay team. Awards will be given to the first place male and female in each of six age groups. Awards also will be given to the first place relay team in each of four age groups.
