Patterson heading to Winona State
Demon’s Ethan Patterson will play baseball for Warriors

WASHINGTON — Washington’s multi sport standout Ethan Patterson has made his college decision.
The senior Demon has signed his letter of intent to play baseball at Winona State University.
Patterson has had a stellar career for the Demons, both in the batters box and in the field.
In his junior season, Patterson finished with a batting average of .378, a team-best. He tallied 33 runs, a team-best as well, 31 hits and 10 RBIs on the season. Patterson was very disciplined at the plate, striking out just nine times in 27 games played.
Patterson was fantastic at running the bases too. He led the Demons in 2021-22 in stolen bases with 18.
In the field, Patterson finished with a fielding percentage of .879 playing primary as the Demon’s shortstop.
On the mound, he saw action in six games. Patterson finished with 25 total strikeouts and held opponents to a batting average of .200.
Washington and the Demons finished with a record of 6-21 last season.
Patterson will be joining a Winona State squad that went 17-23 overall and 14-12 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play.
