FT. MADISON - Washington's seventh and eighth grade competed in a boys track meet Tuesday where Ethan Patterson set a nother new high jump record, clearing 6 feet, 1 inch. He had set the record April 12 at 5-11.
The Demons won the eighth-grade meet with 217.5 points.
Patterson also won the 100 meters in 11.92 seconds, the 200 in 24.9 and the 400 at 55.25.
Julian Marcelino won the 800 with a time of 2 minutes, 24.45 seconds. Brayden Hartman won the shot with a put of 40-7.
The winning 4x8 relay's time was 10:33.96 with Keaton Crawford, Marcelino, Drew Horak and Cameron Vongponya. James Strabala, Tucker Graff, Austin Rebling and Elijah Morris won the 4x1 in 53.52. Clayton Streeter, Gavin Smith, Graff and Morris were first in the 800 medley in 1:55.98.
Marcelino was second in the 1600 in 5:21.64. Morris took second in the high jump at 5-6. Crawford was second in the long jump at 14-8.
Third-place finishers were Rebling's 26.19 in the 200, Vongponya's 2:37.45 in the 800, the 4x2 (Streeter, Graff, Strabala, Rebling) at 1:58.37, the 4x4 (Aden Six, Crawford, Vongponya, Streeter) at 4:27.81, Logan Wenger's 16.37 in the 100 hurdles and Strabala's long jump of 14-4.
The seventh grade placed fourth overall with 104.25 points.
Top finisher for the Demons was Lukus Rickey, who won the shot put at 30-4 while Teague Mayer was second at 27-2.
The distance medley realy was second in 4:48 with Brayan Arreola, Brennen Westphal, Rickey and Angel Mata. The sprint medley also finished second with a time of 2:06 by Andrew Starr, Westphal, Rickey and Alec Ulin. The 4x2 of Starr, Westphal, Arreola and Mata took second in 2:02. the 4x1's time of 56.96 was second with Starr, Arreola, Rickey and Ulin.
