Pekin boys blow past W-MU

The Pekin boys basketball team found the hot hand early in Tuesday night's Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division opener. The Panthers rushed out to an early lead and never looked back in a 76-46 victory.
Pekin led 22-6 after one quarter and 35-21 at halftime. The two teams split the third quarter 17-17, but Pekin dropped a game-high 26 in the fourth.
Depite the loss, W-MU received double-digit outputs from its two freshmen. Abram Edwards led the team with 17 points, eight rebounds nad four assists, and Cam Buffington had 10 points. Senior Bryce Wade added seven.
