Pekin dominates at grade race

Fairfield - Saturday's cross-country race at Waterworks Park was a unique set up with the individuals competing by grades.

Madi Thomann of Highland was the senior girls winner at 23 minutes, 1 second.

Pekin's Brady Millikin won the senior boys race at 17:20.

Pekin's Lily Fariss won the junior girls race at 21:19.

Pekin's Zach Wise was second in junior boys with a time of 17:53 behind Carson Shively of Davis County time of 16:46.

Pekin's Lilly Reneker was third in sophomore girls at 24:18 and Gavyn Brown was fifth in boys at 21:47.

The freshmen girls race top two finishers were from Pekin with Lauren Steigleder at 21:46 and Audrey Fariss at 22:35.
