Pekin football loses to Belle Plaine

PACKWOOD — It was a 52-0 loss for the Pekin Panthers Friday in a non-district football game with visiting Belle Plaine.
Pekin only ran 26 plays and punted three times. Colton Comstock didn’t complete any of his five passes. KJ Rohr had 16 yards on nine rushes.
Blake Juhl led the Panthers defense with 8.5 tackles, four solo. Logan Baker had 8.0 tackles and four solo. Luke Long made three solo stops, 5.5 total tackles.
Pekin (0-7) plays at Highland (2-5) Friday.
Pekin’s big play of the game was KJ Rohr’s 65-yard kickoff return, but the Panthers were unable to score off the excellent field position and lost to Belle Plaine Friday. (Kevin Rohr/Courtesy)
